Video: Buffalo Grove's Salvano Wins 3200 Meters, Qualifies for State

Buffalo Grove High School's Steven Salvano won the 3200 meters before a hometown crowd at the 3A Track and Field Sectional Thursday, May 16.

Salvano finished first with a time of 9:19.

Nick Bernado also qualified for state with a second place finish in the 800 meters.

Stevenson High School had several qualify for state as well.

Kihwan Kim finished second in the long jump, Jordan Fobbe finished second in the shot put and fourth in the discus, and Michael Dolan finished third in the discus.

Stevenson's 4X800 relay team – Sam So Oh, Danny Gardiner, Brendan Wood and Jared Borowsky – earned a trip to state with a second place finish.
