YMCA Jumpstarts March Madness with 3-on-3 Youth Basketball Tournament
Sign up now for March 1 tournament at the North Suburban Y, open to all kids in grades 3 through 8.
The North Suburban YMCA has opened registration for its 3-on-3 Youth Basketball Tournament, scheduled for Sunday, March 1. This annual event invites players in grades three through eight to form teams and compete for age-level trophies.
“This is a fun chance for any kid who enjoys basketball to come out and play,” notes Carol Sassorossi. “Whether you play on a school team or just play pickup games in your driveway, you’re welcome to come with your friends and participate in our tournament.”
Teams of up to four players can register for the tournament on the Y’s website, www.nsymca.org. Registration is $80 per team, and includes a t-shirt and a minimum of two games. Divisions will be offered for boys and girls, if an adequate number of teams are registered. The tournament starts at 11:00am on March 1 in the NSYMCA gym, located at 2705 Techny Road in Northbrook. The registration deadline is 6:00pm on Friday, February 20. For more information, contact Carol Sassorossi, csassorossi@nsymca.org.
