4 Disputes In Burr Ridge: Police
Employees at a Burr Ridge business became worried after two workers got into an argument, report says. One had a concealed gun.
BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge police officers responded to at least four disputes earlier this month. Here is information from the reports:
- An employee at a business in the 16W400 block of South Frontage Road was having a disagreement with another person before officers arrived about 2:30 p.m. Sept. 14. One of the people is a truck driver from out of state and had a gun concealed on his person. There were no signs of criminal activity. Two office employees later called police and said they were concerned because of the incident, so an officer stood by in the parking lot when employees left for the night.
- A resident got into an argument with landscapers about 8 a.m. Sept. 4 in the 7300 block of Park Avenue. This was apparently because the landscapers' truck was blocking the resident's driveway. Both parties claimed the other issued threats.
- A woman told police about 1 a.m. Sept. 4 that her friend punched her during an argument at Extended Stay America, 15W122 S. Frontage Road. The woman did not want to press charges against the man, who left the hotel. She was subsequently arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a traffic violation.
- A party was being held at the Marriott, 1200 Burr Ridge Parkway, about 9 p.m. Sept. 11. People were refusing to leave. Officers spoke with someone at the party and that person said the party was over and everyone was leaving. The officers confirmed everyone had left.
