Biographer of First Heisman Winner Coming to Roundtable Discussion
Brian Cooper, author of Jay Berwanger's biography, will attend the Sept. 24 meeting of the Retired Men's Roundtable in Hinsdale.
Author Brian Cooper will discuss Jay Berwanger with the Retired Men’s Roundtable of The Community House for its September meeting.
Berwanger, a Hinsdale resident, was the first winner of the Heisman Trophy. Cooper penned Berwanger’s biography “First Heisman: The Life of Jay Berwanger.”
Cooper will discuss his work at the Sept. 24 meeting, and he will have copies of his book for sale.
The roundtable will take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at The Community House on 8th Street in Hinsdale. The event is $3 at the door, and there will be coffee and doughnuts.
The Retired Men’s Roundtable meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Programming is announced through the Active Adults newsletter.
