Wind Chill Monday Morning Will Be Low, Low, Low. Brrrrr!

Light flurries but little accumulation expected. Gusty winds and cold, cold air hits the region to start the week. And then what?

If Monday and Tuesday temperatures stay below freezing, we will equal a record set in 1903 for consecutive days below freezing with a seven-day stretch. The National Weather Service predicts wind chill at -2 degrees to 5 degrees Monday morning as colder air moves into the region, along with gusty west winds. By Tuesday morning wind chills could be 10 degrees below zero. Flurries are expected through mid-week with a slow warming trend to possibly above freezing late this week.

At least one guy wants out. Benjamin Jenks posted this on the National Weather Service’s Facebook page Sunday: “This is absolutely stupid. I can’t believe it is this out of control already in November. ... time to evacuate this place but no job lined up yet. If it gets any worse I may just leave without a job at all. Screw it. I’d rather be unemployed in a warm place than deal with last year’s winter again only a month earlier.” » follow the National Weather Service on Facebook
