Burr Ridge Furloughs Nonessential Workers
Water billing deadlines are automatically extended, village says.
BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge has instituted a temporary furloughing of nonessential employees at Village Hall because of the emergency related to coronavirus, the village announced Tuesday morning. This means all deadlines related to water billing and building permitting are automatically extended without penalty or financial burden to citizens, the village said.
In a news release, the village said it cannot guarantee that inspections will be scheduled during this time. Officials are asking residents to call before coming to Village Hall to determine if their needs can be met remotely.
Residents are asked to visit the village's website for updates.
