Burr Ridge July 4th Fireworks, Parades And More: 2018 Guide
Here's your complete guide to Fourth of July fireworks shows, parades and other festive events in and near Burr Ridge.

BURR RIDGE, IL — The 4th of July is quickly approaching, and that means fireworks, parades and other events will be hosted around the area. Burr Ridge residents will be able to enjoy the fireworks show at Pleasant Dale Park District on July 3.
The fireworks show will be held at Walker Park and you can bring a blanket to enjoy the display which starts at dusk. Walker Park is located at 7425 S. Wolf Road, in Burr Ridge.
Temperatures will remain hot for both July 3 and July 4, so if you're spending time outside, make sure you stay cool. Here's a look at the forecast from the National Weather Service:

- TUESDAY, JULY 3: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Heat index values as high as 97. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
- TUESDAY NIGHT: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m., then a slight chance of showers after 5 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 73. South southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- WEDNESDAY, JULY 4: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 7 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Heat index values as high as 101. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
- WEDNESDAY NIGHT: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. South southwest wind around 5 mph.
There are also several fireworks shows and events nearby:
- Nearby Lemont will also host a fireworks show, starting at 9:30 p.m. July 3 at Centennial Park. The event features activities for kids, a beer garden, entertainment and a food court.
- Hinsdale will hold a celebration on July 4 at Burlington Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. A parade will begin at 10 a.m. There will be a craft fair, inflatables, carnival games and more.
- You can catch a fireworks show in Clarendon Hills at Prospect Park. Residents can enjoy fireworks from Prospect Park at 9:30 p.m. Hinsdale Golf Club sets off fireworks, and while it is a private club not open to the public, you can still see the fireworks at the park on July 4.
- Darien, Downers Grove and Woodridge are also putting on a fireworks showing at 9:30 p.m. on July 4. You can head out to 75th Street and Lemont Road to see the show.
