Burr Ridge Mayor Announces Resignation
Straub said this was one of his life's most difficult decisions and it was "based on economic, spirtual and personal reasons."

BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge Mayor Mickey Straub has announced his resignation effective Nov. 19. The village said Straub was first elected in April 2013 and was re-elected in 2017.
In a letter to village administrator Dough Pollock, Straub said this was one of his life's most difficult decisions and it was "based on economic, spirtual and personal reasons."
"For over five years, I have been spreading my love for Burr Ridge, but now I need to focus my time on relaunching our company and spreading my love for God and country," Straub wrote in the letter. "I love Burr Ridge and being mayor and a public servant! But now I feel my calling is elsewhere and I'm sorry that I just can no longer afford to put 20-30 hours per week as mayor for an annual stipend of $6,000."
