Burr Ridge Panel Members Asked To Resign
They belong to a committee that is gathering public feedback on what to do with the old CNH property.

BURR RIDGE, IL – Three Burr Ridge officials are being asked to resign from a committee that was formed to seek the public's feedback on the 110-acre CNH Industrial property.
The officials are trustees Guy Franzese and Tony Schiappa and Greg Trzupek, who chairs the Plan Commission. All three sit on the CNH Committee, which the mayor formed late last year.
"(Burr Ridge's attorney) has advised the trustees and Mr. Trzupek that they should tender their resignations because they really need to respect the process," Mayor Gary Grasso said at Monday's Village Board meeting. "I'll see about appointing others to the committee and getting a new chair if they wish to meet and discuss it more."

The committee met on Dec. 13 and Jan. 17.
Last week, Bridge Industrial submitted a proposal for the site. Its plan includes commercial buildings, townhomes and a Burr Ridge public works building.

On April 15, the Plan Commission is set to review Bridge's application. After the commission finishes its hearings, it will likely make a recommendation. The matter then goes to the Village Board.
Franzese, Schiappa and Trzupek are likely being asked to resign because their jobs are now to formally hear Bridge's zoning case.
