Burr Ridge Resident's CiNe Modern Tacqueria Opening Saturday

Downtown Hinsdale's newest restaurant will open this weekend, its owner said Monday morning.

CiNe Modern Tacqueria will be open for business Saturday, Nov. 3, in the Hinsdale Theater building on 1st Street. Owner Peter Burdi of Burr Ridge said reservations can be made on the restaurant's website beginning around noon Monday, and by phone later Monday afternoon around 4 p.m. at 630-590-5655.

Burdi also owns Il Poggiolo and Nabuki in downtown Hinsdale. 

"We’re just looking to give another great dining experience in the Hinsdale area," Burdi said.

Burdi talked about his new venture during a Village of Hinsdale Plan Commission meeting in September. 

“It’ll be Latin-slash-modern taqueria,” Burdi told commissioners on Sept. 12. "That’s kind of the trend that’s been happening in terms of Mexican food.”

Similar to Chicago hotspots Big Star and Mercadito, CiNe will have a taco-bar feel in addition to a traditional dining room.

“The front part will be a taqueria,” Burdi said. “The second part, when you walk back, will be a dining room.”
