business signs in the village of Lemont

I'm very upset with all the different rules when it comes to small businesses in the Village of Lemont.
It is very upsetting when your
trying to make your business a success and the Village keeps holding you back, for example
there is a new company in downtown Lemont that doesn't have to have a fire alarm system put in, and the park district doesn't have to go by any of the village rules for signs and flags, but the rest of us, who are trying to make it in this economy have to be subjected to warnings and fines and a seventy dollar temporary sign fee,
which is on private property. I don't get it.
could someone explain it to me.
