Members of the community are invited to attend any one of six District 181 schools for assemblies and ceremonies honoring our nation's veterans on Veterans Day.
The first will be held at 8:45 a.m. at The Lane School, 500 N. Elm, Hinsdale. The ceremony at Lane will feature a presentation including photos of community and family veterans.
At 9 a.m., Madison School, located at 611 S. Madison, Hinsdale, will host a remembrance assembly to recognized veterans and invite them to share their stories.

At 10 a.m., Walker School, 120 S. Walker, Clarendon Hills, is planning a flag ceremony and assembly, and invites all veterans in the community to attend.
At 10:30 a.m., Monroe School, 210 N. Madison, Hinsdale, has invited veterans from the local VFW to a program that will feature songs by the chorus, presentation of colors by the veterans and a discussion of the history of Veterans Day.

At 1 p.m. Prospect School, 100 N. Prospect, Clarendon Hills, will host an assembly with a flag ceremony led by Cub Scout Pack #51.
At 1 p.m., Elm School, 15 W 201 60th, Burr Ridge, is planning an assembly that will include a performance by the Grade 4 and 5 choir, and feature students reading poems and letters. The school also has invited residents from King Bruwaert House and other available veterans.
