The Fox Valley Academy of Music Performance will be performing light favorites at 1:00pm on Sunday, April 29th. Director, Gina Detienne, will be leading the Youth Strings and Academy Orchestra in music by Mozart, Brahms, and others. Among the compositions, is Mozart’s ever popular, Ave Verum Corpus, to be performed by the Youth Strings, while the Academy Orchestra will provide a rousing rendition of Bach’s Sleepers Awake. Also on the program, is the Academy Orchestra’s Concerto winner, Liza Scheidler, performing Vivaldi’s Violin Concerto in A minor. The concert is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted. The performance will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church at 420 West Downer Place in Aurora.
