Kumon Open House

Families are invited to attend a free literacy open house with read aloud sessions featuring selections from Kumon’s Recommended Reading List. Families are encouraged to bring a new book to donate to RIF’s local chapter. Refreshments, games and prizes will be provided for all who attend the event.

Kumon joins forces with RIF to bring books to underprivileged children through a $50,000 donation and a nationwide literacy open house at participating Kumon Math and Reading Centers in the United States. For each new student enrollment during the month of March, Kumon North America, Inc. will donate $10, the equivalent of four new books, to RIF.

Reading Is Fundamental, Inc. (RIF), founded in 1966, motivates children to read by working with them, their parents, and community members to make reading a fun and beneficial part of everyday life. RIF’s highest priority is reaching underserved children from birth to age 8. Through community volunteers in every state and U.S. territory, RIF provided 4 million children with 15 million new, free books and literacy resources last year. For more information and to access reading resources, visit RIF’s website at www.rif.org.
