No Pet Left Behind: What to Do in an Emergency

Lori Halligan, executive director of the Hinsdale Humane Society, has done immediate relief volunteer work for Hurricane Katrina victims and was struck by the realization that people (and their pets) are not prepared for disaster.  She addresses the responsibility pet owners have for their pets during times of disaster, including preparation, paperwork, and evacuation plans. Part of the Big Read program.
