BURR RIDGE, IL – Federal prosecutors are planning to seize the house at 2 Hunter Court in Burr Ridge.

The house is owned by Burr Ridge businessman Dennis Haggerty, who was convicted last week of fraud in connection with swindling two hospitals.

The two-story, 4,500-square-foot house contains six bedrooms and 4½ bathrooms, according to real estate websites.

The house sold for $620,000 in 2012. DuPage County assesses the house at $750,000.

The federal government also plans to seize three cars that Haggerty is believed to have bought after defrauding the two hospitals out of $2.5 million. The cars are a 2013 Maserati GranTurismo, a 2015 Land Rover Range Rover and a 2017 Maserati Ghibli.

Last week, Haggerty, 46, was given 57 months for his fraud and ordered to pay $1.9 million in restitution.

The planned seizures were authorized in a preliminary order by a U.S. district judge after Haggerty was sentenced.

The judge empowered prosecutors to locate property subject to forfeiture to help pay the $1.9 million judgment.

Haggerty is ordered to report to prison Feb. 17.
