Flower Thief, Bike Lock Fight: Burr Ridge Cops
Police find Burr Ridge resident who stole another resident's flowers, report says.
BURR RIDGE, IL — A Burr Ridge resident informed police May 30 that a woman in a 2006 Pontiac pulled into her driveway, got out and took a handful of her planted iris flowers, police said. The resident said she did not want the woman arrested.
Police found the woman, who is a resident in the 7900 block of Garfield Avenue, according to a report. The woman apologized and said she wouldn't do it again, police said. The theft was about 8:30 p.m. the 15W700 block of 83rd Street.

- A resident in the 1400 block of Garywood Drive reported May 31 that her ex-husband called her 50 to 60 times that day about a missing bike lock. An officer spoke to the ex-husband on the phone, and he agreed to stop calling her if the officer told her she was not allowed in his house. The officer told the woman about the man's request, and she agreed to stay out.
- A McDonald's shift supervisor called police June 1 about a bag full of knives, spoons and forks in their outdoor trash can. The supervisor thought it was strange and did not want the knives in the trash. An officer took the bag and placed it in the police department's trash.
- A caller said four or five people in all black clothing were in a store about 6:30 p.m. June 1 at 100 Burr Ridge Parkway. The person said he has never seen them before. It looked like they came from a protest.
- A resident reported a suspicious black Acura SUV driving up and down the 7300 block of Hamilton Avenue on May 31. Officers could not find the car.
- A glass door was shattered at an apartment in the 16W200 block of 83rd Street.
