Garbage Truck Catches On Fire: Burr Ridge Police

BURR RIDGE, IL — The bed of a Waste Management truck caught fire Friday morning, according to Burr Ridge Police. The incident reportedly took place at approximately 9:47 p.m. at the intersection of High Grove Boulevard and Madison Street, not far from Five Seasons Family Sports Club.

Tri-State Fire Protection crews arrived on the scene with local police to extinguish the fire after the garbage truck's contents were dumped out onto High Grove Boulevard. Crews from Waste Management were on scene to remove the singed trash and debris from the street shortly thereafter.

The cause of the fire is still unclear.
