Genealogy Programs Available at the Indian Prairie Public Library

October is Family History Month

October is Family History Month and the Indian Prairie Public Library is hosting two Genealogy programs.

Beginner’s Genealogy on the Web will help novice researchers find the best websites to begin their exploration online. The hands-on program will take place on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m.

The library will also host a Genealogy Research After-Hours on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Participants will be able to use the library after hours for uninterrupted research time, as well as get help from genealogy group volunteers and librarians. Participants should bring names, dates, and places to research.
