Illinois Senate Hearing On Ethylene Oxide Emissions Canceled
A Senate hearing on ethylene oxide emissions scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled.

WILLOWBROOK, IL — An Illinois Senate Environment and Conservation Committee hearing on ethylene oxide emissions scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled. The meeting was supposed to take place in Chicago on Oct. 2.
According to the Illinois General Assembly website, 575 people had filled out opponent witness slips on the matter.
State Sen. John Curran said the committee should immediately reschedule the hearing and the critical public health issued facing residents in and around Willowbrook needs to be addressed.

"I share our residents' disappointment and frustration in this last minute cancellation. Time is of the essence, and the residents surrounding this facility need to know we’re doing everything in our power to address their well-founded concerns," Curran said in a release.
