Calling all teen writers! Submit your poems, short stories, and/or graphic novels for the Indian Prairie Public Library’s Cool Compositions Contest. Cash prizes will be awarded to first ($100), second ($50), and third ($25) place winners in each category. Entry forms are available at the library’s Kids & Teens Ask Us Desk and at www.ipplteens.info. The entry deadline is Oct. 29.
Winners will be announced Nov. 12 during An Evening with Author Barry Lyga. Lyga, the author of The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy ad Goth Girl and I Hunt Killers will discuss writing and books at a 7 p.m. program.
