Laptop Stolen From Car Parked At Burr Ridge Village Center: Police Blotter

BURR RIDGE, IL — The following information is from the Burr Ridge Police Department.

Vehicle Burglary

A laptop was stolen from a parked BMW during a vehicle burglary that took place at Burr Ridge Village Center Friday. According to police, someone burglarized the car at approximately 1:30 p.m. when it was parked near the Bath and Body Works at 570 Village Center Drive.

Over the past few months, there have been an increase in vehicle burglaries throughout Chicago's western suburbs.

Theft

A woman reported her credit card was stolen Monday, August 28, from a gym locker at the Lifetime Fitness at 601 Burr Ridge Parkway. Police say the theft occurred at approximately 12:14 p.m.

Identity Theft

On Monday, August 28, a Burr Ridge resident reported a case of identity theft. She told police that someone had stolen her husband's information and attempted to use it to file fraudulent tax returns.
