HHS anticipates that adding more volunteer foster homes and families will enable the shelter to help more animals in need and facilitate their adoption.

Hinsdale Humane Society’s volunteer Foster Home Program is an integral part of the shelter’s work. Some animals arrive at the shelter needing special care and attention before they can be adopted. Some require temporary medical care; others are orphaned kittens or puppies, or pregnant or nursing cats or dogs.

Because of this invaluable program and its dedicated, caring volunteers, animals who might otherwise not be adopted are able to find loving, lifelong homes.

Attendees interested in fostering are asked to complete the Foster Home Application prior to attending the orientation. Applications are available by emailing: info@hinsdalehumanesociety.org.
