Man Arrested For Criminal Trespassing In Burr Ridge: Cops

Robin V. Apodeca, 59, was arrested for trespassing on property in the 7800 block of Wolf Road Saturday.

BURR RIDGE, IL —Police took a man into custody after he was seen approaching a home and walking into its backyard over the weekend. The incident took place at approximately 11:26 p.m. in the 7800 block of Wolf Road. Robin V. Apodaca, 59, was later arrested a few blocks away and charged with criminal trespassing.

Burr Ridge Police first got a call at approximately 11:26 p.m. Friday from a homeowner who said they spotted a man with a backpack walking up their driveway. The homeowner told police the suspect then walked into the backyard of their home, but after a search, police were unable to find anyone.

At approximately 12:43 a.m. Sunday morning, a patrolling officer saw a man with a backpack heading north on Wolf Road near the 7500 block. The officer noticed the man fit the description from the earlier trespassing report. The officer questioned Apodaca, who allegedly admitted to trespassing on property with a "no trespassing" sign in the 7800 block of Wolf Road.

He was taken into custody and released on bond.
