Massage Chain Coming To Burr Ridge, With 25 Employees Expected

BURR RIDGE, IL – A nationwide massage chain is planning to come to Burr Ridge's County Line Square shopping center.

Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa plans to open at 120 Burr Ridge Parkway. The chain has 650 locations across 38 states, according to its website.

Hand & Stone provides massages, facial treatments and related wellness services by licensed massage therapists and estheticians.

The business plans to employ 25 people, with 14 to 16 on site at any given time.

Hand & Stone is going into the same space as the former ATI Physical Therapy.

Under the village's zoning code, Hand & Stone needs approval for a special-use permit for massage services.

In a memo, the village's staff said they believe County Line Square has enough parking to accommodate the new business.

Hand & Stone would require a similar number of spaces as ATI Physical Therapy.

The Plan Commission is set to review Hand & Stone's request at 7 p.m. Monday at Gower Middle School, 7941 Madison St.
