BURR RIDGE, IL — In recent days, Burr Ridge police have dealt with late landscapers and a paintball pelting, among other things. Here is information from the latest Burr Ridge police blotter:

  • Someone shot eight paintballs at a window on a house about 1 a.m. May 2 on Deer Path Trail. The resident washed it off. He said it was unknown why someone did this. His neighbor forwarded the police video of the incident, but an officer was unable to get a description of the person or a license plate number.
  • A resident in the 8000 block of Garfield Avenue informed police May 1 that two rings and two combs were missing from her bathroom. She told an officer she believes her upstairs neighbor may have taken them when he was clearing water from her bathroom because of a water leak from his toilet. She said she did not want any police action. She continued to contend that people are listening to her phones and that trackers have been placed on her car. She told the officer she works at a senior citizens agency, a fact the officer said he would confirm.

It was determined that he did not need medical attention because he was not dizzy, lightheaded, bleeding or having difficulty seeing or standing.
  • While on patrol shortly before midnight May 1, an officer heard yelling from the parking lot of the Marriott, 1200 Burr Ridge Parkway. At least two people wanted to leave for the night, while another wanted to stay. After an officer spoke with them, they all agreed to stay the night.
