Police: Passenger Punched Driver, Fled Cab After Refusing to Pay Fare

A cab driver was attacked after a passenger refused to pay a $90 cab fare in Hinsdale, according to a Hinsdale Police Department report. 

The cab driver picked up the man in Chicago and drove him to Hinsadale on Feb. 2. When they arrived, the man refused to pay his fare, punched the cab driver before kicking out a window and fleeing the scene, according to the report. 

The incident occurred at 55th and Monroe streets around 4:45 a.m. on Feb. 2.

The case is currently pending, according to Hinsdale Police.
