Registration Open for American Music Institute Violin Competition in Clarendon Hills

Young violinists between the ages of 5 and 18 can register to compete in the American Music Institute Violin Competition.

The competition will take place Feb. 22, 2015, at the institute’s Clarendon Hills Campus, according to the AMI website.

Repertoire is limited to one level appropriate piece or movement up to 10 minutes long. Prize winners will be invited to perform in the Winners Concert on April 12, 2015

Prizes:

• 1st - $400
• 2nd - $125
• 3rd - $75

The application deadline is Feb. 21, 2015
