Street Sign Damaged At 81st And Madison

BURR RIDGE, IL - Residents of Burr Ridge and those who work in the business park near 81st and Madison streets may be wondering about damage to the street sign at that location. A Burr Ridge police report shows that the damage occurred just before noon on Wednesday.

A 43-year-old man called police at 11:53 a.m. and said he saw a 2018 Volvo that was pulling a 2014 utility trailer back into and damage the sign.

The driver of the Volvo, a 66-year-old man who police say admitted to striking the sign, was cited for improper backing.
