Thief Swipes License Plate, Replaces It With One From Stolen Car: Burr Ridge Police

BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge Police say a man removed a license plate from a car and replaced it with a plate from a stolen vehicle. The incident took place at Lifetime Fitness in the 600 block of Burr Ridge Parkway at approximately 5:45 p.m. on June 22.

According to police, the victim reported that a man had removed the license plates from a 2017 Kia Sorrento and replaced them with different license plates. The license plates the suspect put on the vehicle were traced to a car that had been stolen in Orland Park in May, police said in a report.

The suspect is described as a white male with several tattoos on his left arm. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a sleeveless white t-shirt.
