Thief Threatens To Kill Bath And Body Works Manager After Stealing $500 In Seasonal Candles: Burr Ridge Cops

A suspect allegedly stole $500 of candles at Bath and Body Works and threatened to kill the employee if she reported the incident.

BURR RIDGE, IL — Police are looking for a man who allegedly stole $500 worth of seasonal candles from a Burr Ridge Bath and Body Works and threatened to kill the manager if she reported the incident. The theft took place at 550 Village Center Drive at approximately 11:31 a.m. Wednesday.

According to police, the man removed two shopping bags and and filled them with an assortment of 15-20 seasonal candles. As he exited the store, he told a manager that he would kill her if she took any action to report the matter.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, approximately 5'11" and weighing roughly 180 pounds with a medium build. He has short black hair and a short black stubble beard. The employee also noted that the suspect appeared to have a lazy eye.

At the time of the the theft, he was wearing a black short sleeve shirt and blue jeans with holes in the front.
