Thieves Smash Glass On Lens Crafters Store, Steal Frames: Burr Ridge Police

BURR RIDGE, IL — Police are looking for four individuals who broke into a Lens Crafters and stole multiple glasses frames Sunday. The burglary was committed at approximately 11:40 p.m. at 430 Village Center Drive and lasted approximately one minute, police say.

Shortly before midnight, police got a call from a resident who reported hearing breaking glass and a burglary alarm. An investigation and surveillance video showed footage of four individuals pulling up to the Lens Crafters in a silver SUV before getting out and shattering a glass window.

The offenders then entered the store and used a bed sheet to gather up several glasses frames before exiting the store and fleeing the scene.

At press time, Lens Crafters was still working on an inventory of lost property.
