A man and a woman stole clothing from Victoria's Secret, and struck a police car before making an escape on I-55, police said.

BURR RIDGE, IL — Two people stole from a Burr Ridge Victoria's Secret and hit a police car while they fled, according to Burr Ridge Police. On April 3, Burr Ridge detectives were patrolling Burr Ridge Village Center in an unmarked car when they witnessed a car acting uspicious. The car was backing into a spot, which police said a lot of thieves do for a quick getaway.

The detectives watched while the car switched spots several times, and the passenger and driver switched as well. Police said the woman in the car then walked into Victoria's Secret with a bag from a different store. She walked out a few minutes later, and the car moved to another spot.

A male suspect is now driving the car, and he pulled the car in front of the store, and the woman got out of the car and walked in the store and ran out moments later with her arms full of clothing. Police said detectives witnessed the whole incident and got behind the car as the two left the shopping area. The two suspects were stopped at a red light and detectives pulled up to next to them. The man driving realized police were in the car next to them and turned toward them and accelerated into the police car.
