Willowbrook Acquires 2 Homes For 'Future Uses'
The village gives options on how it may use the properties.

WILLOWBROOK, IL – Willowbrook has acquired two houses on Plainfield Road, and it is considering what to do with the properties, according to village records.
The homes are at 610 and 618 Plainfield, across from the state headquarters for the Seventh-Day Adventists. The lots are just west of Burr Ridge's village limit.
In a memo last week, village officials said they want to demolish the houses and restore the properties, including tree removal.

The village acquired the houses to support "future uses," including expanded recreational opportunities, economic development or stormwater improvements, according to the memo.
"While a final use has not yet been determined, as a first step, the proposed demolition will prepare the site for future project consideration," the memo said.
