Woman Injured In Sideswipe Crash On Plainfield Road

The driver of a car that caused a crash on Plainfield Road in Burr Ridge Saturday fled the scene.

BURR RIDGE, IL - A 45-year-old woman who was driving on Plainfield Road in Burr Ridge on Saturday was hospitalized with minor injuries after her car was sideswiped by a vehicle. The crash victim was in a 2009 Honda vehicle attempting to turn left on Manor Drive at 6:14 p.m. when the unknown vehicle sideswiped her while eastbound on Plainfield.

The contact between the Honda and the other vehicle caused the Honda to swerve to the right and strike a 2017 Hyundai car driven by a 59-year-old woman.

Burr Ridge police say the driver of the vehicle who caused the crash did not stop and continued eastbound on Plainfield.

The injured woman was not able to provide a description of the car or offender. She was transported to Hinsdale Hospital by Pleasantview Paramedics.
