• Local Sports Recap – May 12, 2026 – WRUL-FM (wrul.com) — Carmi-White County athletes had a busy day, with baseball falling at Fairfield while girls track earned third at Harrisburg and boys track placed ninth at Fairfield. The boys tennis team notched a solid 7–2 road win. Several Bulldog teams now head into important meets and matches later this week, including sectionals and a conference meet. 
• Two Carmi Women Arrested Monday – WRUL-FM (wrul.com) — Carmi police made two separate arrests Monday, one following a traffic stop tied to outstanding warrants and another after responding to a domestic dispute on Gilpin Street. Both women were taken to the White County Jail, and one now has an arraignment set for June 10. Residents may notice increased police activity connected to these incidents.
• Billy Ray Wolford, 63, of Crossville (wfiwradio.com) — Family and friends in Carmi are remembering 63-year-old Crossville resident Billy Ray Wolford, whose relatives live in Carmi and surrounding communities. While no services are planned at this time, memorials in his honor can be made to Pets At Risk through Campbell Funeral Home on West Main Street in Carmi.
