• Church schedules dedication of new Nauvoo Temple Visitors' Center on historic date in June (thechurchnews.com) — A new Nauvoo Temple Visitors’ Center will be dedicated June 27, 2026, on the anniversary of Joseph and Hyrum Smith’s martyrdom in Carthage tying a major regional event to Carthage’s Latter-day Saint history. The center and restored Brigham and Mary Ann Young Home will open to the public June 29 with free admission and daily visiting hours.
