Attempted Arson At Champaign Women's Heath Center
A suspicious device found last week was an incendiary.

CHAMPAIGN, IL — A "suspicious device" found at a women's health center in Champaign last week was an incendiary, and the incident is being investigated as an attempted arson, according to authorities. Police and bomb squad personnel responded to Women's Health Practice, 2125 S. Neil St., on Tuesday after the device was found.
Authorities told WCIA-TV they believe someone broke a window at the business sometime between 5:45 p.m. Nov. 6 and 7:50 a.m. Nov. 7 and placed the device inside the building.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit neutralized the device after it was found sometime before 9 a.m. Nov. 7.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Champaign County Crime Stoppers at (217) 373 - TIPS or submit a tip using the P3 Tips smartphone app. Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
