3 Injured in Crash on I-55 Near Joliet

Three people were taken to a local hospital after a two-vehicle crash temporarily shut down southbound lanes on I-55 near Joliet around 5:18 p.m., according to the Illinois State Police.

Police had originally said only one person was taken to the hospital.

Police said a pole had fallen and Meade Electric was working on it. Further details regarding the exact cause of the crash were not immediately available.
