$500,000 Bail Set For Wilmington Man
He pulled out a gun on his victim, Will County Sheriff's Police say.

JOLIET, IL - A 20-year-old man from Wilmington remains locked away from society behind the walls of the Will County Adult Detention Facility after being arrested on charges of armed robbery this week. The crime was investigated by the Will County Sheriff's Department.
According to sheriff's reports, police were called to a house in the 2100 block of South Water Street in Wilmington Township around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1. There, sheriff's deputies interviewed a 20-year-old man who had been driving along Water Street earlier in the night when he saw Kannon Exton walking along the street, reports show.
"The victim stopped and asked Exton if he needed a ride, since the victim knew him from high school. Exton entered the vehicle and asked the victim to take him to his residence at 21433 Elmwood Street in Wilmington," Will County police reports indicate.

Later, Exton asked the victim to give him a ride to his girlfriend’s house. During the ride, Exton pulled out a gun and ordered his victim to stop on the side of the road, police say. Exton ordered his former classmate to give him his wallet and cellphone and the victim complied, according to police.
Next, Exton tossed the victim's car keys out a window and began walking down the road, police said. The victim waited for Exton to leave the area before going outside to search for his keys. Once he found them, he drove away and called police.
