Bomb Threat At Jewel-Osco On Ridge Road Isn't Isolated: Police
Minooka police responded to the Jewel-Osco at 2051 South Ridge Road at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday.

MINOOKA, IL — The Minooka Police Department announced that Wednesday night's bomb threat made to the Jewel-Osco on South Ridge Road appears to be part of a pattern of identical crimes taking place across the Chicago region.
Wednesday's incident happened at 10:20 p.m.
"Out of an abundance of caution, officers evacuated the store area of all patrons and employees and established a security perimeter around the plaza," Minooka police announced on Facebook.

Police remained on the scene until the Jewel-Osco was cleared of any public safety threat by the Kane County Bomb Squad. Channahon police, Morris police, Grundy County Sheriff's Department and Minooka fire all assisted in the bomb threat incident at the Jewel-Osco.
Meanwhile, Minooka police learned that a similar bomb threat was made during the same hour at the Jewel-Osco in Lockport.

Another unfounded bomb threat was also made Wednesday morning at the Jewel-Osco in Homewood.
Minooka police said they are working with area agencies in hopes of capturing the culprit for these crimes.
