Channahon Lions Club sponsers Vision Screening
Channahon Lions to sponser Vision Screening March 13,2013.
The Channahon Lions Club is sponsering a Vison Screening on Wednesday March13, 2013 at the United Methodist Church on Eames St. in Channahon, Illinois. The screening will be held in conjuction with the Senior Luncheon which is being held at the church on that day.
There are no appointments required, however the Vision Screening will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 pm.
The Channahon Lions Club is a part of the International Lions Club, which in 1925 were charged by Helen Keller with "The opportunity I bring to you, Lions, is this: To foster and sponsor the work of the American Foundation for the Blind. Will you not help me hasten the day when there shall be no preventable blindness; no little deaf, blind child untaught; no blind man or woman unaided? I appeal to you Lions, you who have your sight, your hearing, you who are strong and brave and kind. Will you not constitute yourselves Knights of the Blind in this crusade against darkness? "
