Preparing for the Holidays...

Holiday party and family tips.

It's October and that means before we know it, Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here. For many, the holidays are a time for family bonding, exchanging gifts and positive giving. The colors are vibrant, the music is cheerful and the winter weather makes everyone dress and act cozier. During the upcoming months, I will share tips on how to make trendy gifts, decorate your holiday tables, and share moments of joy with your loved ones and friends. For starters, I've listed the party checklist below. This checklist of quick tips helps you to formulate an the structure for a great party.

ULTIMATE PARTY CHECKLIST OF QUICK TIPS

  1. Set your date. Determine your budget
  2. Gather a final count of guests you want to invite.
  3. Choose the main location of the dinner (I recommend the most spacious area so your guests can talk and mingle).
  4. Create a menu (Decide if your dinner will be formal or informal?  Plated or Buffet?).
  5. Make a list of songs to play on a mp3 or iPod.
  6. Create a list of entertaining topics to encourage conversation among guests.
  7. Decorate your space by choosing a color scheme (it's also really great to incorporate shapes and patterns to make a cohesive look).
  8. Bring all of your elements together for a wonderful party.
  9. Most of all, ENJOY!

Stay tuned for more blog postings and updates.  Feel free to leave comments, tell me how you've incorporated the tips.
