Summer Reading is Coming!

A Midsummer Knight's Read," will kickoff with a Medieval Faire on the lawn of the Channahon Library on Saturday, June 18th.

This year's Summer Reading Program, titled "A Midsummer Knight's Read," will kickoff with a Medieval Faire on the lawn of the Channahon Library on Saturday, June 18th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  There is no cost for the event, and you will also have the opportunity to sign up for the program.  Can't make it that day?  You can sign up at either location anytime during the program.  Sign up early for the best chance at prizes!  Here is a brief description of the events that will take place that day:

1pm & 2pm

Medieval Falconer

Lady Joan brings this classic story to life

(pictures and dress-up with Lady Joan are available at 1pm & 2:30pm)

2pm

Squire Competition

Knights will challenge you to feats of strength & knightly knowledge

2:30pm

Sword Fight

End the afternoon with a battle of brave knights

The  *FREE* program will run from the 18th through July 29th, and is for ages 3-103!  We've got lots of fun and exciting programs scheduled throughout the summer as well.  Check out the newsletter that should have arrived this week, or our website at www.trpld.org for further details!  Can't wait to see you @ your library!
