Free Fall Prevention Program For Seniors at Timbers of Shorewood
The Timbers of Shorewood is hosting an educational program titled “Fall Prevention” at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Timbers, 1100 N. River Road, Shorewood. Presented by Harvest Home Care, the presentation will address balance issues, environmental hazards and practical strategies older adults can take to reduce their risk of falling. The program is free and open to the public.
Prior the seminar, attendees can purchase lunch from Lil Deb’s Food Truck on-site from noon to 2:30 p.m.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than one in four adults aged 65 and older fall each year, making falls the leading cause of injury among seniors. However, simple balance exercises, home safety adjustments and proactive health habits can significantly reduce these risks.
“Our goal with these educational sessions is to give local seniors and their families easy access to health resources,” said Sheila Albor, director of marketing at The Timbers of Shorewood. “Fall prevention is such an important topic, and we invite everyone in the community to join us and learn safety strategies.”
This presentation is part of the 2026 Timbers Educational Series, a multi-month initiative designed to bring expert guidance on senior health, safety and wellness directly to the local community.

- Thursday, Nov. 5 - Veterans Benefits Seminar
