
A 24-year-old Joliet man who lives on Webster Avenue was booked into the Will County Jail around 6 a.m. Wednesday in connection with felony charges of unlawful grooming. A criminal complaint was filed last Friday, Feb. 15 charging Nathaniel Crider with the Class 4 felony offense.
The complaint submitted by Channahon Police Detective Andrew McClellan states that Crider "knowingly used a device capable of electronic data storage or transmission …. a cellular phone, to attempt to solicit, seduce, lure or entice a child under the age of 17 … a minor, to commit the offense of aggravated criminal sexual abuse."

The complaint goes on to state that between the time frame of July 14, 2017 and Dec. 31, 2018, Crider "solicited … a minor to engage in an act of sexual conduct."

Last week, veteran Will County Judge Ed Burmila issued a warrant authorizing Crider's arrest and setting the defendant's bail at $100,000.
The arrest warrant states that Crider resided in the 2300 of Joliet's Webster Avenue and that his last known place of employment was at Septran Inc. in Bristol, IL.
