Channahon Man One of Two Killed in Motorcycle Crash
Two people died when a motorcycle left the road near Glenwood Avenue and Barney Drive and struck a building Sunday night in Joliet.
A Channahon man and a Palos Hills woman died Sunday night in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Joliet, police said.
The Will County Coroner’s office on Monday morning identified the driver as 34-year-old Patrick Ortize of Channahon. His passenger, 24-year-old Amy Reed of Palos Hills, also died in the crash after the motorcycle left the roadway and slammed into a building near Glenwood Avenue and Barney Drive, according to the coroner’s office.
Both were taken to the Presence St. Joseph Medical Center emergency room in Joliet, where Reed was pronounced dead at 9:27 p.m. and Ortize at 9:55 p.m.
