Dorenkamper Scuffled With 2 Channahon Cops: Complaint

Bryan Dorenkamper was taken into custody on a bench warrant Wednesday night.

CHANNAHON, IL - On Wednesday night while most of Will County was winding down and getting ready for a good night's rest, a 24-year-old Channahon resident was getting processed at the Will County Adult Detention Facility. A bench warrant for Bryan Dorenkamper's arrest was issued last Friday by county judge Carmen Goodman. The warrant called for a $50,000 bail for the criminal defendant.

Dorenkamper, who lives in the 26100 block of Oakridge Court, had been charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery against a police officer. The criminal complaint, submitted by a Channahon Police detective, accuses Dorenkamper of striking one of Channahon's officers "about the head." The complaint also accuses Dorenkamper of having "head butted" another Channahon officer. The incident occurred on March 1, the complaint states.

Now that Dorenkamper is lodged in the Will County Jail, he will need to come up with $5,000 cash, or 10 percent, to get out of jail while his criminal case is pending at the courthouse.
