Channahon Police Need Your Help Finding This Store Thief
Channahon asks anybody who may have information to call their police department.

CHANNAHON, IL - It's an odd crime and it's happened two straight summers. Channahon police say that a man has committed retail theft two years in a row by falsely claiming that he is returning a propane tank. In the end, he's been able to scam different store clerks out of cash, police said.
This week, Channahon police are publicizing video surveillance footage showing the unidentified man inside the Channahon convenient store where the most recent theft occurred in late May. They're also publicizing video surveillance of a white truck that the man is believed to have driven here.
"We tried our area and other police agencies and had no luck," Channahon Police Detective Craig Gunty told Patch on Thursday. "We're thinking he might be someone local."
