Dead Man Found In Car At Thorntons In Channahon
The Channahon Police Department responded to Thursday's grim discovery, saying the man's death does not appear to be suspicious.

CHANNAHON, IL - When you're pumping fuel at the gas station, there's usually plenty of sights and sounds to take in. Other people are often coming and going from the business. On Thursday afternoon, a Thorntons gas station worker in Channahon made a grim discovery, finding a dead body inside a parked vehicle.
Deputy Police Chief Adam Bogart said that Channahon police officers responded to the call regarding the unresponsive male shortly before 4 p.m. The Thorntons gas station is near Route 6 and Interstate 55. A 54-year-old man from Indiana was found to be dead inside of a car, he said. "We don't believe there to be any foul play," Bogart said Friday morning.
Police believe the man may have been on the property for a day or day and a half. The man's body was turned over to the Will County Coroner's Office. WJOL reported the dead man is from Griffith, Indiana.
